Viviola Gómez Ortiz, PhD
Dr. Viviola Gómez Ortiz is the HWC Senior Strategist for Latin American Outreach and Spanish Language Content Development. Viviola, a Research Associate with the Center for Social Epidemiology, has collaborated on a variety of projects with the Center directors, including coordinating the review of the translation of Unhealthy Work into Spanish and conducting numerous workshops and presentations in the U.S., Mexico & South America.
Dr. Gómez is also Professor of Psychology at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, where she has been teaching courses in Psychology of Emotions, Emotional Intelligence, Stress Management and Occupational Health Psychology for more than two decades. For the last ten years, her research interests have concentrated on the interactive impact of work and family roles on the health of workers and on the impact of psychosocial stress at work on burnout among different occupational groups in Colombia.
